Maldives, January 1983
We flew in from Colombo, Sri Lanka, and were trasnsferred by boat directly from the airport to the Meeru-Fen-Fushi island in the East corner of the Male Atoll. There we stayed in a basic cottage with sand floor en simple beds under mosquito nets. We did not use shoes during our stay. I took a Basic Divers course to learn scuba diving. Except from the course and relaxing on the beach and in the water we hab an excursion to a non-tourist island to visit a small village, and later a tour to Male, the capital.
